Monitors and MemoryRunning Windows 10 Pro 21H2 on Dell Latitude 5520 laptop.
Installed 970 EVO Plus SSD over a year ago. Running with Microsoft NVMe driver v10.0.19041.2075.
I've tried several times during the past year to install the Samsung driver without success.
The downloaded driver (Samsung_NVM_Express_Driver_3.3.exe) will not open/run. ???? Nothing happens - no error message - no nothing.
I've repeatedly searched for an answer to this problem here and elsewhere during the past year with no luck.
Yes, I've reviewed my BIOS settings but have not seen any potential problems.
Can someone in Samsung support (or wherever) give me a clue as to why the driver install won't run? TIA

Monitors and MemoryI can only refer to Samsungs' Installation Guide:
This guide describes how to install the Samsung NVM Express driver 3.3 (hereinafter βdriverβ)
for Windows Operating Systems. The driver supports the Samsung NVMe SSD 970 PRO, 970
EVO, 970 EVO Plus, 960 EVO, 960 PRO, 960 EVO and 950 PRO.
System Requirements
The driver supports Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
Recommended system configuration (minimum):
ο¬ Intel Haswell Refresh Processor
ο¬ 2GB RAM
ο¬ 50MB free disk space
ο¬ UEFI Bios v2.3
System Configuration
Windows Operating System shall successfully load the driver only when Samsung NVMe SSD
970 PRO, 970 EVO, 970 EVO Plus, 960 PRO, 960 EVO or 950 PRO is installed to
ο¬ PCIe slot directly connected to CPU or
ο¬ M.2 or PCIe slot connected to PCH.
However, in the PCH case, Windows Operating System cannot load the driver under following
BIOS configurations where
ο¬ PCH Storage Configuration is set to βRaid Mode, or
ο¬ NAND/Storage Remapping option*β is enabled.
* The option name can be different according to M/B manufacturers.

Monitors and MemoryI found the fix.
"If you want the installer to run to completion, place the installer (Samsung_NVM_Express_Driver_3.3.exe) in its own folder/directory with no other files in that directory. Worked for me and performed exactly like the instructions state."
Normal it doesn't work I would never place it alone for default.
