@userdvuGdewOTl The flash drive is just like any external hard drive. You store files to it in the same way.

What are you trying and what is confusing you?

Being a Disabled Senior, it would be so convenient if I had a step by step, kind of directions. I've watched all the videos on my Samsung Type c flash Drive. Not one has shown exactly how to use this. So a step by step direction so I can print out. That way I can continue to use it then I would be able to understand how things work. I have spent around 55$$ of my very tight Disability Benefits. My cloud storage is going to be deleted July 1st if I dont get this done. I have thousands of pictures I will LOOSE. Thank You for Your Kindness and Grace.

@userdvuGdewOTl The process is very easy.

  1. Connect the drive to your phone.
  2. Open the My Files app on your phone.
  3. Find the file(s) that you want to backup
  4. Long press on the file(s) to select it.
  5. On the bottom of the screen you will see some icons.
  6. Click on Move or Copy to move or copy the file to the external drive.
  7. Then click on the home icon near the top left.
  8. Down below click on your flash drive.
  9. If you have folders setup on your flash drive, navigate into the folder where you want the file placed.
  10. On the bottom right of the screen click Move here or Copy here. Whatever you selected above.

@userdvuGdewOTl There is a couple of ways to unmount the drive.

When you insert the drive, a notification will appear in the notification panel that USB storage added. If you expand that notification, you will see unmount. You can click that to unmount the drive.

Another way is from inside MyFiles. There will be 3 dots the right of the flash drive in the storage list. Click on that and select unmount.
