Inverse ghosting on Samsung Odyssey G9

Hi!

I've been pretty happy with my new G9 so far. There is one severe blemish on the monitor though. I have some pretty noticeable inverse ghosting when playing games. It's especially bad when I move the camera. It propably has something to do with the overdrive (response time setting). The problem shows itself on all the different settings. I'm on the newest Nvidia drivers that are supposed to support G-sync on the G9. Is there a fix coming via a firmware update. I'm thinking of returning the unit, which is a shame, since the monitor is pretty good otherwise.

I recommend reaching out to Nvidia regarding this.

Re: Inverse ghosting on Samsung Odyssey G9

How does this have anything to do with nvidia ? nvidia already has the drivers ready for the monitors, the overdrive on the monitor should be dynamic along with the frame rate. i am assuming so because of the noise being so high at a framerate like 60 so overdrive is obviously still going on at such a low framerate

Re: Inverse ghosting on Samsung Odyssey G9

Setup the monitor with Response Time = Standard, then turn on Adaptive Sync... No more ghosting! Smiley Happy
