@SweetTasha . If you have forgotten your password, you must restore the T7 Shield to factory settings through online service rendered by our customer service centers. Please keep it in mind that all user data
placed in the T7 Shield will be lost by factory reset.

This is found in the user manual here> https://download.semiconductor.samsung.com/resources/user-manual/Samsung_Portable_SSD_T7_Shield_User...

Also checkout https://semiconductor.samsung.com/us/consumer-storage/support/faqs/portable/#:~:text=If%20you%20lose.... This states, "You can change your password on the Settings screen of the Samsung Portable SSD software as follows:
Click the Set button on the Main screen, move to the Settings screen, click the CHANGE button, enter a new password, and save it.
When setting a password, you may include spaces in your password on a device running the Mac OS, but will not be able to save it; on devices running the Windows OS, you cannot include spaces in your password. You can set a password on PCs running the Windows OS or Mac OS".

If you need additional assistance you can use the following options:

1. Call 1-800-726-7864  (ask for Memory)

2. Email: samsungmemorysupport@sea.samsung.com

Easy fix. I just reset password by ejecting T7 then plugged it back in and entered current password (have to do it twice). Then opened the Samsung icon in the files. The change password location is then available.
