Samsung Support has declared my Win 11 Pro Asus Pro WS W790 Ace motherboard with an Intel Xeon W2455x CPU,   64GB of 6400 RDimm ECC RAM,  5ea 990 Pro 4TB NVME, and 1ea 9100 Pro 2TB SSD's to be incompatible with Samsung Magician Version 8 series software.

Support declared the RDimm ECC RAM to be the culprit that Magician couldn't handle and summarily closed the ticket.

There was no discussion of why Version 7.3 continues to runs merrily along on the system when Version 8 never truly gets started.

No talk of having the programmers look into the issue for a possible fix.

It was suggested I look elsewhere (third party) for support software.

Stone Walls anyone?

Hello  ,

Have you tried sending your drive to Samsung for warranty service?

Typically, they will need to verify the issue before its escalated to the programmers.

Is English your first language?  Pay attention.

You are suggesting I send the fully functional SSD's in for service when the reported issue is Samsung Magician not running on my work station??

We are reportimg a system hardware issue with Magician, not a SSD problem.  The drives run fine and Magician crashes at start.

Hello

So you want Samsung to test the Magician with a system similar too yours?

8.3 is working for me, my system though is a normal z890 chipset, your system seems to be more sever grade or enterprise level? right?

By the way, i don't think its needed to insult my language, I'm trying to help you.

Your initial post was so far removed from what I was posting about it made me wonder.

Intel no longer makes a consumer cpu  with a high PCI lane count like my old 7900/x299 series gamer so I had to go to a work station series with  a Xeon cpu to get the lanes I needed.  I run a PCI Gen 5 GPU, 2 Asus Hyper M.2 Gen 5 cards all at 16x.  All total I have 10 x4 M.2 slots.   Lotsa room for lotsa games.

I am concerned when Magician 7.3 runs happily while Ver 8 has issues according to net searches.

In this case Ver 8 prolly has a timing issue with the ws performance.

I apologize for twisting your knickers.

btw?  I'm a retired computer/network/fiber systems troubleshooter/tech/admin.
