My monitor does a weird thing when connected

Hello,

I have some issue, i've bought a Samsung S8 ViewFinity, and it is spectacular!

But the issue is that i have a laptop that i use it for the video, i only use the USB C for video so i can charge it in the way, the point is that sometimes, the monitor does something, like it restart itself. 

Is something with how is connecter?

Hey there @Abel0785 and welcome to the community! I can understand your frustrations and am delighted to assist you!

When you have the monitor plugged into the laptop, do you have the laptop plugged up to a charger? As sometimes the laptop battery isn't powerful enough to keep itself and an external device going.  Is the laptop a Samsung one or a third party device? Have you attempted connecting the monitor to a different port of the laptop?

Hello, thanks for your response.

I don't use the charger, only the type C cable. Could be this the issue?

My laptop is a HP EliteBook 640 14 inch G10 Notebook PC

Hi Abel0785, thanks for getting back to us. While we can't guarantee third party compatibility with our products, I would recommend that you try using the charger for your laptop and the monitor connected via a different port.
