I recently bought a new V-NAND SSD 860 EVO (500 GB); when I tried to connect it to my windows 10 Pro PC using USB3.0 to SATA adapters, it is not recognized by Windows nor by Samsung Magician nor by Samsung Data Migration Utility.
I cannot see the disk under Windows disk management utility, so I cannot format/initialize it.
The only thing I see in Windows is a yellow marked icon for USB Mass Storage under Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
I don't have two sata ports on my laptop/desktop PC, so I don't know how to solve this problem.
Any hint will be appreciated.
2 things: The yellow icon means Windows does not have proper driver to recognize your USB to Sata adapter.
Once you get the adapter issue corrected Samsung software does not always play well with USB.
