New Samsung Magician won't open

I just got the Samsung Magician 6.2.0 installed replacing the previous version and it will not open. The task is running in task manager but no icon in the task bar and no application opens.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled as admin and ran the program as admin but still nothing.

I am running Windows 2004 and have an EVO 970 1TB

I do know the previous version opened fine after upgrading to Windows 2004

Anyone else experiencing this issue or have a resolution?

I'm having this issue as well. Windows 10 2004 and a Samsung 850 EVO. Complete reinstall did not rectify the issue.

Exact same issue. After wasting the morning trying to get it to work, I removed it and re-installed my prev. version 5.1 and found that it no longer worked! I went back to the downloaded 6.2 zipped folder and unpacked it to the desktop. I followed install directions to the letter. I closed all running programs including malware bytes, ccleaner & all others, then did a clean re-install of v. 6.2. Same issue: selecting "run as admin"  I 'clicked' to open Magician and got nothing! Now neither one will work. So where do I go from here?

Same issue.  Windows 10 2004 with the 860 EVO.  Complete reinstall 3 times with cold boots.  Turned off Malwarebytes which made no difference.  Previous version worked very well.

Hi,

Magician prompted me to update to 6.2 from 6.1. Downloaded and installed 6.2. It won't open. Large black rectangle in the middle of my screen. If I click on it, I get "Samsung Magician is not responding". Options are to Wait or Close the program. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling 6.2 several times (Run as administrator etc.) No luck.

Windows 10 64-bit 1909. Samsung 850 EVO 250GB.

Managed to reinstall 6.1 and things are working again, but it keeps prompting me to update to the new, broken version.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I too was able to get 6.1 so uninstalled 6.2, installed 6.1 and it is working fine except the same new version prompt. Kinda s#cks we can't see the new features if any. I didn't read any release notes.
