Monitors and MemoryThis morning my Odyssey Ark performed an update. 1420.9... unfortunately this has now caused HDR to no longer work properly. Not even after a reset of the entire monitor. HDR is far too dark on Windows, on all consoles as well as in all streaming apps. There are no more accents, bright sources look terrible. The only way to get around this halfway is to deactivate HDR Game in Game mode under HDR Tone mapping, which means that the picture is far too bright. Before the monitor had an excellent picture with HDR, now everything is broken and that with a monitor that costs ā¬3000. I sincerely hope this gets sorted out as soon as possible. I wonder how something like this can pass the quality controls, I'm very disappointed. And by the way, what was the update supposed to do? EDIT: Two things i noticed on top is that the UHD notification is gone and in HDR, while there are grey colours, it flickers.

Monitors and MemoryI have the same issue. Bought the Odyssey Ark recently and immediately found out the HDR issue. The monitor is either super dark with correct color or super bright with washed out colors. This is terrible, and un-usable.

Monitors and MemoryWhile not a perfect solution i find that if i load CyberPunk 2077 it fixes the HDR, just load the game and it corrects the washed out HDR issue in Game Mode, while I have no solution yet for the random blackouts that happen (as if the monitor loses signal) , others have suspected a **bleep**ty HDMI cable that shipped with the monitor I bought 8k hdmi 2.1 certified cables from amazon and waiting to get them to see if that resolves the other issue.
Samsung is taking way too long in fixing this issue in their firmware back in December of 2022 and no acknowledgement from them even about this problem. Will not be buying another Samsung monitor or TV will switch to LG.

Monitors and MemoryI don't know when it was installed, but my ARK monitor now says it's on firmware v1503.8. I have no idea what they fixed or what changed since Samsung doesn't give any details from the TV menu, and their website still says 1420.9. Either way, they are now finally starting to update it.

Monitors and MemoryAfter the update, i had to do it manually, there was a note on screen. Offical no change in picture quality. Only if you use multiscreen 4x it is now 4k and 120Hz, and the menues should be faster now. Thats ist. After one year very dissapointing.
