Lots of issues with the G7 and G9 with flickering.
I found not using adpative synce AND not running any telemetry (fps tracker overlays) stops the menu flickering in most games e.g. Apex Legends.
I've downloaded and am running 1007.1 firmware.
As of 10/19/2020 Samsung has REMOVED the "firmware" dowloads and Replaced with "software"
Firstly, the software is flagged upon download as a VIRUS by chrome and msft browsers.
Second, there is no explaination of what the software does or changes.
Samsung can you please advise on what the "software" is and what it changes?
I must admit that there is a clear lack of information on both the flickering issue (e.g. Is Samsung working on it?) and this new software. I googled the name of the software and realized that it can be used to split the screen and do multiscreen. Not sure this should be Samsung's first priority right now...
yes I saw the same thing. I find it strange that there is no firmware anymore?
unless all new monitors ship with 1007.1
And so many new Acer monitors rolling out.
