Odyssey G9 native resolution

I just got my Samsung Odyssey G9 and I was setting up the resolution through Nvidia's control panel. I noticed that the "native" resolution is set at 3840 x 1080 when I know this monitor is a 5120 x 1440. Is there a way to change that?

Is it because I am running off of two 980ti cards and they can't push a native resolution that high?

Re: Odyssey G9 native resolution

Most likely. Check the specs of your specific cards. NVIDIA usually lists what the native max resolution is.

Re: Odyssey G9 native resolution

  • Max Analog: 2048x1536
  • Max Digital: 4096x2160

That is what it says on their site, so that seems to be it then?

Re: Odyssey G9 native resolution

Depending on how your monitor is connected (HDMI, Display Port, etc), then yes.

Re: Odyssey G9 native resolution

Yeah, it is through display port. I think it is just my graphics cards, they are now outdated as far as pushing these high resolutions natively.

Sounds like you need to spend another 2000$ on a decent card ( 2080ti and up )

What are you talking about?  A 2080ti is now $750 - the even better 3080 is $699...

AMD has new cards being released on the 18th with lower  prices and using less power too.

Re: Odyssey G9 native resolution

Update to the latest firmware 1008.1 and this should set native resolution to 5120 x 1440.

Good luck!
