Hello Samsung community,
I’m encountering an issue with my Samsung ViewFinity S8 32" UHD Monitor (Model LS32B800PXUXEN) connected to a Mac via Thunderbolt. After the monitor wakes from sleep or resumes after no signal, all grey shades have a noticeable pink tint. The only temporary workaround is toggling Eye Saver Mode off and back on, but the tint returns after the next sleep. I’ve also confirmed this tint appears when using other devices—like an Xbox—so it seems tied solely to the monitor’s own adaptation logic.
Details:
-
Model: LS32B800PXUXEN
-
Connection: Thunderbolt (no adapters)
-
OS: macOS Sonoma 14.x
-
Firmware: 1008.1 (released 29 Nov 2023), updated via USB
-
Eye Saver Mode: High (toggle resets colors temporarily)
I updated firmware, tried any settings combinations, but seems issue related to ambient sensor.
The pink shift on grey persists immediately after sleep on both Mac and Xbox inputs. It does not appear related to any host OS or driver—only the monitor’s ambient-light/colour-adaptation logic.
Questions:
-
Has anyone else experienced this pink-tint behavior on the LS32B800PXUXEN?
-
Is there a hidden service menu or additional setting to disable the ambient light sensor after sleep?
-
Could this be a known firmware bug or a hardware fault with the sensor module?
Any insights, firmware workarounds, or service recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
