If Samsung Magician cannot recognize a new Samsung SSD, what useful purpose does it serve? I might as well uninstall it.

This problem by installing v4.9.7 simply resolve! since v5 arrived we had problem. Samsung must be show some respect ! v5 has issues, there is not much option as older one v4.9.7 and has bug,not working well,
if you need solution for your problem, you should remove v5 ,restart ur system, reinstall v4.9.7 enjoy it (everything works fine) without any problem, and do not update! until Samasung release new update.
i hope Samsung would to upgrade that v5 for useful version without any bug!

This is very strange. It is now working for both of my drives without any updates to the software.

Same issue here, BUT these were clean installs.
Installed New 500 GB 850 EVOs in 2 x Dell Latitude E5540 and 2 x Dell Latitude E5550. All four are on the latest BIOS and have SATA set to AHCI.
This is Windows 10 Creator installs. Question for those of you that are broken, have you done any Windows updates lately?
