Samsung 980 slow read/write speeds 900/860MBs

MSI M7 Gaming Z170a Motherboard
i7 6700k
32gb G.Skill TridentZ RAM (4x8gb) @ 3200
Asus Strix GTX 1080ti OC
FrescoLogic USB PCI-e hub
Samsung 850 evo (OS drive in m.2_1 slot)
Samsung 980 (Installed in m.2_2 slot)

Can't figure out how to get my new 980 m.2 nvme ssd to run at full speed. I removed all other Sata hard drives except for the 850 evo my OS is installed on to rule out conflicting/shared lanes and no improvement. Both Samsung Magician and CrystalDiskMark are benching the 980 ssd at roughly 900/860MBs read/write. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did the BIOS update for your z170 motherboard solve your issue? Based off of your Tom's hardware post, it looks like there was a BIOS update available for your motherboard.

BIOS update did in fact fix the issue, benched at 3554/2987MB per second after the update 🙂 I knew I forgot to update one of my threads with solved lol thanks :clinking_beer_mugs:
