I'm really glad to find this thread - I would have purchased exactly the 990 PRO 2TB. Thanks a lot for reporting. All my last SSDs where Samsung, however I'm now heading (most likely) to WD.

Crossing fingers that Samsung will fix this for you, but I'm out.

i have 2 - 990 pro in my pc the one with the os is already dropped in health after 2 weeks in use !

can you please find a solution to this problem and let me know when you have found a solution.

I wanted to share an additional data point. I purchased this drive, and installed it in December. It currently has 368 power-on hours. It's already down to 93%.

How are you going to drop to 90% life on 6TB written? I want a new drive that doesn't have this problem!

the 980 are only at 3% with almost 20TB.

I'll add my experience to this also...

I have a 1TB 990 Pro purchased on December 7, 2022. I have 2.5 TB written to it. Crystal Disk Info is report a health of 83%.

This makes NO sense. If the drive has a life of 600 TBW, then 6TB would be 1%...my 2.5 TB would equate to only 0.5% of drive health, not 17% as reported.

Samsung, PLEASE fix this!

Bought on 2022-12-01. 24/7 powered on, so Power on hours report is wrong.
