I have build a PC for my friend and i have pick the same monitor as I did on August 2024, and I've noticed, that in his monitor the same as mine model G40B have newer update installed m-b4000gcza-1008.1, who makes the color more vibrance and contrast is higher, my has m-b4000gcza-1006.0, is it somehow possible to get this new update for monitors who were brough last year?

Monitors and MemoryNope, there is max 1006.0 for my model number and even for the second one who has from the box 1008.1, same shows 1006.0. So something fishy going on here....

Monitors and MemoryManufacture date and Model Code are same, both was made in Vietnam, so they should use same materials, but if like you mention, if they did, than it's almost same scandal like it happen with Dell G2724D, but in opposite way.

Monitors and MemoryThe screen who were order for my friend 2 days ago is same manufactured as mines, so Month and Year. I Had plenty of screens in my hands since i work in IT, for years, ordered thousend of screens and build thousends of PC, this is 1st time i seen something like that. Now go and build someone a PC setup with 3x screens from same model and lets say in one month you buy your last screen so lets say its 3rd. and you will get different screen. That should never happen, if they do so, it should be announced by Samsung like G40B New revision. They did it with G5. The funny fact is, on they support site even the one who got 1008.1 frimware by S/N still shows max 1006.0. Thats the great trash i even seen. I had G3 in old days and brough after 9 months second one, and they had same screen and colors.

Monitors and MemoryThey may have the same manufacture date but can still be made in different factories with different materials lots. No two chips are the same, no two motherboards are the same. If you were in tech, you should know this. Even identical twins aren't truly identical, and they come from the same cell.

Monitors and MemoryDell made the same **bleep**, sadly their screen was very famouse, so plenty of ppl have made their unhappines to this product, who after 7 months, delivered same model from same manufacture, but screen was different - in this matter like mentioned about they delivered worse colors and bad contrast. Dell have lost the matter in laws, and had to replace to the orginal or give back cash.
Like I mention above even the second screen by S/N shows 1006.0, I think here the problem is not by manufacture and etc. but mostly lazy webmaster who didn't add new update to website.
Anyways friend, thanks for replying 🙂

Monitors and MemoryIf both monitors have the same firmware/driver version, then the issue is materials variance. Either swap monitors with your friend, buy a new one or deal with it. ALL MATERIEALS EVER MANUFACTURED HAVE VARIANCES.
