Just got my Samsung 27" G5 monitor but it's been doing this weird thing. On start up my right screen will be dimmed and my left normal. Anyone know why this is happening?

I just turn of the monitor and restart it and goes back to normal but I want to know how to fix this or if I should return the monitor back if it's defaulted.

I recommend letting a service technician have a look. Send your full model code and serial number via private message to get started.

I have the exact same issue out of the box.  I'm using DP, 1.2v.  mine will also not wake if the computer goes to sleep.  I have to unplug it and restart every time.  Tried all sorts of options, latest firmware, etc.  Will likely have to get a different monitor.  Seems to be a decently common issue after reading the forums.  Good luck though.
