As the title says, I connected a Samsung 980 Pro to NVME slot then to adapter that is 4.0 and both times Magician says it's connected to 3.0 PCIe

What can I do? I will like to remove the adapter and put on motherboard interface but how do I get magician to work and recognize it's the proper gen 4 and get optimum performance out of my 2 tb 980 pro

Thank you

Depending on bios updates the mother board nvme slot operates at gen 3 or gen 4.  Magician has no control over that operation.

Dell support is in your future.

I've spoken with them and they routed me to an adapter purchase. That didn't work. So, hopefully, a bios update fixes the issue soon if ever.

The last update was September 2nd, 2021 so time will tell.
