I work in a corporate environment, and I'm trying to get Windows 7 installed on a Dell Precision 7510, which uses a Samsung PM961 NVMe SSD. I know Samsung makes the drivers available for download, but it appears to only be in a system-sensitive installer, which fails if it doesn't see any connected, compatible SSDs. More importantly, it doesn't have an option to simply extract them for use elsewhere.
I've tried extracting them myself, but it's been a series of dead ends. Additionally, the laptop manufacturer (Dell) does NOT offer them as a download of any kind.
Does anyone know where I can acquire the raw driver files for Samsung's NVMe SSDs nowadays?
NVME support for Win 7 is a scary thing since 7 doesn't have it.
Here is a link in MS support for one of their mekthods to add it.
First Microsoft nvme came with Win 8.1.
