I just bought a 4TB Samsung 860 PRO SSD for my old MacBook Pro 2012. Do I need to turn on TRIM support for it?

Google "Samsung 860 Pro Trim" and you'll get a lot of info to digest.

TRIM does not necessarily need to be enabled, bit it does help catalog file fragments and increase your write speed. Apple, by default, enables TRIM on it factory installed drives.

After all, I have read I have decided to enable TRIM Support using the Sensei application as they have excellent additional services with it.
