UH850 monitor- mac compatibility

I have the UH850 monitor. I am using it as the monitor for my Mac Mini. Is there a way to connect it so that I can use the ports on the monitor for external hard drives and have the Mac Mini read and write to the hard drives? Or does this monitor only work that way with non mac computers?

It looks like it should work just fine. But you will need a USB A to USB B type plug cable. You would plug that into the "PC in" port on the monitor.
