Hi,

I have been trying to update my  M.2 960 evo (256GB) firmware, but it is always unsuccessful, either via the Samsung Magican, or the exe file.

No other information is available. Please advise how shall I proceed.

Which version of Magician are you using and what is it's error message?

How is the 960 connected to the  computer?

I am using latest version of the Magician; just did a re-installation.

The SSD is installed directly onto the motherboard, and it is used as my boot up disk.

It prompted this message:

and then

After that this message is displayed at the bottom of the Magician:

No other information is available.

I have tried a number of times already. Still cannot update.

I am having the same exact issue.  We need Samsung to come up with a workaround or how to resolve this issue.

It seems that Samsung is not bothered with the issue. Nothing was heard from them for 2 weeks. Maybe this is just a entry level SSD and so it is not worth supporting.
