Upgrading Internal SSD in Notebook 9 Pro 256 SSD --> 2TB SSD [M.2]

I recently purchased the above mentioned Laptop. I am wondering if anyone here has experience with adding the 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD [2TB] to the device.

The specs on the notebook list storage interface as Sata 3 which is incompatible with 970 Evo.

Open the hood on the notebook and verify what type of drive it actually uses.

@userDJgRBkJ9z3 Hello. The NP940X5N-X01US sports an M.2 2280 bay, however this model was officially sold as SATA3 -- rather than supporting PCIe NVMe + SATA3 over M.2.

The EVO970/970+ are M.2 NVMe drives, whereas the EVO860 is S3 (2.5"/M.2).
