I've given up on this. There's no way to get the ears of Samsung on this one. I purchased a separate speaker (a white JBL Boost TV) and has stopped using the internal speakers.. The audio system on this model (C34F791) simply doesn't work.
That's a thumbs down to Samsung on this one...

Same issue here as well. Audio was working perfectly for 3 months, now it stops working multiple times a day. To resolve the issue simply toggling the power on and off with the menu button works. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling all drivers, including the monitor driver and my graphics card driver. This is incredibly annoying and shouldn't happen on such a pricy monitor.
Windows 10 Pro x64 (all windows updates)
GTX 1080ti (latest drivers)

For those of you in the US, we have sent this over to our product specialists but have heard nothing back. For those of you outside of the US, we urge you to follow up with the support team in your area as we have no control over non-US models.
At this time, the only thing we can offer is a service repair. Which, as many of you have reported, does not fix the issue of sound dropping out/lagging.

Okay - I'm not sure if this is a fix or not, but after updating my Nvidia GPU drivers yesterday, as well as downloading Samsung's monitor drivers from https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/curved-monitor-cf791-series, I haven't had the issue resurface.
Might be worth trying if you any of you are still experiencing these audio issues.

Bought this 2 months ago. I have a PC and use the display port. 10-15 second sound delays. Have gone to Samsung, Dell and Microsoft support. I have tried everything. Power cycling fixes the sound delay for a few minutes, but then the delay returns. On my second support call to Samsung, I was told to send the monitor to Samsung for repairs as there are no other support avenues. There is no "second tier" support option. Back to my own external speakers which work just fine. Too bad Samsung is unable to fix this issue on their premium monitor. I will never buy a Samsung product again. Considering filing a class action lawsuit against Samsung.
