Samsung, why why why? The camera on my Galaxy book 6 ultra is a HUGE letdown. It does not belong on such a premium device. I'm seriously disappointed by this. Everything else is supreme but the camera is 2015. 😕
I’ve been exploring the All-New Galaxy Book6 Series for industrial and professional environments across Europe. These devices offer robust performance, high-resolution displays, and connectivity options that make them ideal for use as a Panel PC in factories, retail stores, or logistics centers.
I’m particularly interested in hearing from professionals who have integrated similar devices in European operations. How do they compare with dedicated industrial panel PCs in terms of reliability, compatibility, and touchscreen responsiveness?
Any insights or experiences with deploying these systems as Panel PC solutions in real-world European setups would be greatly appreciated.
They advertise that the pro have Intel Arc, but it dont. Im so upset with my purchase. False advertisement. If I knew the USA Galaxy Book 6 Pro model didnt have Intel Arc, I wouldn't have purchased it.
its ridiculous. if Samsung is valuing their own products this badly, like they're literal trash, why should we be buying them? it makes no sense. if i upgrade off of my book4 ill be giving it to family or selling it for more than the paltry $100 trade in credit Samsung says it's worth
nothing stopping you from just installing Linux yourself mate. not saying they shouldn't offer that as a option from the factory, but its still an option
though i will say, compatibility with existing Samsung apps and ecosystem features need to work on Linux for people to really care imo. generally you're only buying a Samsung laptop if you're in the ecosystem and want the benefits of that, otherwise there are better laptops to go for (mac, obviously)
My main point being that the laptop would be cheaper if Samsung didn't have to pay for a Windows license. I'm running Linux Mint on an older laptop and it's Great in my opinion.
There is the cost factor, certainly! Also, MS updates keep dragging my Book3 Pro 360's performance down, and killed the camera. I've been a Microsoft user since the early days of DOS, but I finally got fed up and put Mint on a 2017 HP laptop. Bog slow on MS, *fast* and efficient on Linux. I would certainly put Mint on my Samsung, but haven't found a way to jailbreak it so I can do so.
Yeah I noticed this also, I have returned to Mac, for the price comparison vs power, both the M5 Pro and the Mac Mini blew the Book6 out of the water with very little price difference
Yeah. The older phones they don't offer much for either. I get a new phone every year so I get a good amount back. My wife, on the other hand, gets a new one like every 3 years. Never worth anything. Our carrier gave her $1k for her S23 ultra with a cracked screen towards the new phone. Samsung's offer was $300. That's diabolical.
The carrier is happy to refund your wife $1000 every three years to keep her under their wing. Unlocked, on a non-traditional carrier and you'll save more than that.
True, but I'm not worried about that. I like my carrier. I've tried other carries and where I travel mine offers the best coverage. My wife could just buy the phone, but she can be cheap sometimes 😂
Where is the AMD version? This is the only reason I have never bought one. Now that you have a deal with Lisa Su, I hope that you will create a model worthy of actually being named a Samsung Galaxy Device. Even with 18A, Intel is still inferior to AMD.
