I received the Apple Airpod Pro's for Christmas. They work flawlessly with my 2 laptops and ipad. I'm still a Note 9 lover but need the audio fixed. The audio level you would expect works great on all devices except the Note 9. I have a Verizon Note 9 with the current updates. The Airpods have the latest firmware.
I've enabled Developer options to disable absolute volume as other andriod users have suggested but did not see any improvement.
And yes, it have the call, media and system volumes at their maximums.
Are there any other settings that can be adjust to fix the low volume?
Is there a firmware fix planned?
I know it's been a while since you posted this, but I had the same issue today and just figured out how to solve it. So, I thought I'd share in case anyone else is having this issue.
Connect your airpods and open up whatever app you're listening to, pause the audio.
Swipe down from the top of your screen.
Click on the "media" icon that appears below your bluetooth icon.
On the media screen, go to the audio outputs at the bottom and select "my phone."
Turn the volume all the way up, then select your airpods again from that same list to reconnect.
I tried EVERYTHING and this was the only thing that worked!
