Contacts issue after recent update

Help

I used to be able to move contacts (I use the installed contacts app)  easily in and out of favorites with hitting the star.  Now after the most recent update, the star is gone and I can't figure out how to move someone out of favorites and add someone else into my favorites list.

Re: Contacts issue after recent update

Hello,

Do you have a 3rd party theme installed? Maybe that is causing odd issues. Try going back to the default theme.after apply default theme now i can able to see the favorites list in my contact.

Re: Contacts issue after recent update

I would like to look into this for you.

  • Have you made sure the app is up to date?
  • Have you cleared the cache for the app?
  • Do you still get the same results when your phone is in safe mode?

Ok, using the standard samsung contacts app.

  1. Open the app
  2. Scroll down and select a name
  3. Click the name and open the file.
  4. At the top of the page, you should have the contact name in large letters
  5. To the right of that name should be a hollow star.
  6. To make that contact appear on the favorites list, click the star.
  7. The contact is now in your favorites list.
  8. To remove a contact from the favorites list, simply click on the name and click the star to turn remove that name from the favorites list.

You don't have to click save, edit or anything other than open the contact file and click the star to either add or remove.

This is on my Note 9, on AT&T running 2.0 Build DTA4
