Does anyone experience the system freezing or just an empty home screen and applications closing after freezing, after updating to Android 10?

Have you tried wiping the cache partition since the recent update? Try that and see if that helps any.

The system cache partition stores temporary system data. It's supposed to allow the system to access apps more quickly and efficiently, but sometimes things get cluttered and outdated, so a periodic cache clearing can help make the system run more smoothly.

Follow these steps:

- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
- When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
- An ‘Installing system update’ message will show for 30 – 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
- Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
- Press the Power key to select.
- Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
- When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.

Your phone will take a little time booting up after the cache partition is wiped off of its contents as it will rebuild or recreate those caches. Don’t be alarmed if the phone gets stuck on the logo for a minute or two after this just don’t turn it off so that what was deleted will be replaced successfully. So, wait for your phone to become active. Don’t worry, this procedure is very easy and safe to do. You won’t damage your phone just by wiping the cache partition.

My Angry Birds 2 quits while home screen goes dark and freezes. I have to close Angry Birds and always have to reboot the system. It doesn't happen immediately while playing the game.

I'm having the same issue with the clock and camera app. They both force close when in use. Can't find a solution that works anywhere. I've tried re setting the phone and it still does the same.

- Clock crashes when setting alarms when they are due to sound.

- Camera crashes when using the photo option but video, selfie and others still function relatively normally but still sometimes crashes.

Can someone please help as I'm outside warranty and it's only started this week to play up

Strange thing, I'm experiencing the same symptoms but with my S8+. May be a coincidence, yesterday I had to factory reset my phone after it started loading blank screens. Other times I tried to open diffrent apps and either it would freeze, flash a white screen then go back black or would say "experiencing a problem. Please try back later. get the blank screen/flashing back and forth. After the reset I have not had any issues, yet!

It happens after awhile of playing Angry Birds. The game will freeze, then an option comes up to close app or wait. Then the home screen that I have set in black wallpaper, stops showing the clock or my calendar alerts. Basically, a blank home desktop screen. So I have to restart the phone. I did the cache partition already. I haven't done a factory reset yet. Trying to avoid that.

Have you tried to force stop and clear cache on the Angry Birds game app?

Navigate to your settings > apps > find and click on the Angry Birds game app > storage > force stop > clear cache.
