Try to restart your phone . I got note 9 to and it's doing good with life focus .or update your software.

I had the same issues, and nothing helped so I break I fix(approved by Samsung) fixed my phone camera for free. You just have to call them and let them know so they can order the part from Samsung. I got mine fixed.
