Re: Note 9 camera freezes

JUMP TO SOLUTION

Mid november is not even a month ago so I wouldn't say that is a "long time".  Since the problem is fixed temporarily by rebooting I'm fairly sure they will fix it eventually it's just not a high priority since its not that common.

Bs it’s not common.  Every phone that is snapdragon and has the Sony camera has the issue and it’s been 4 months now and they still havent fixed it.

Since you you are new here I suggest you research some.  Since we been dealing with it for 4 months.

It's nonsense that every phone with the Snapdragon and Sony imager has this problem. No one in these forums knows that as a fact. While it may be true that every phone with the problem is a Snapdragon with Sony imager, the inverse is certainly not a known fact.

Umm really???  For 4 months everyone has been figuring this out in this thread but you.  I think we know a bit more than you.

Why all these new people coming in this thread speaking about something they have no clue on.

It it is a fact that the Sony camera and snapdragon phones have this issue.  It has reached the media and multiple news outlets.  And if it’s software it affects every phone that has that camera and chip in it.

Excuse me but if that many people are affected by this problem shouldnt there be lots of videos about it and lots of articles about it?  How many people do you think are affected by this problem?

A lot are.  Tell you what.  Why don’t you go somewhere else since you aren’t helping the issue and haven’t even been part of this thread.

Maybe go do some research on your own, which you obviously haven’t done, as this has hit a bunch of other forums as well before opening your mouth again.

It's best to throttle what you say to other people especially when you don't know anything about them and when you're on a public forum.

Exactly for two new people that join this topic that don’t have a clue.

Re: Note 9 camera freezes

I know there is lots of conjecture and very few facts. The only thing we know for sure is that it is a problem with the camera freezing causing the software to somtimes time out with an error and that rebooting the device gets it working normally again temporarily for at least some people. We also know a Samsung "moderator" said "specialists" are working on a fix for this specific issue but there is no ETA that this "moderator" can tell us.

I would say at the very least it's a clue.

Re: Note 9 camera freezes

JUMP TO SOLUTION

How many millions of these phones have been sold in the US? How many hundreds of people are participating in this forum? We have the good fortune to have two helpful Samsung staff members participating in this form which prevents our comments here from being a complete waste of time. It's completely counterproductive to waste their time and to waste multiple pages of reading in this forum with comments like every phone has this problem. You couldn't possibly know that and common sense would tell you that there's no way that every single phone, which is millions of them, has this problem.

Samsung's handling of this has been horrible. Consistent and constructive feedback and criticism is warranted. That said, all that many of these comments do is ensure that the two Samsung employees will decide that they are wasting their energy participating in forums like this and then we'll have no one with an inside track to help us with issues. You're cutting off your nose to spite your face. Put more thought into how to achieve the objective that we're trying to achieve.
