Unfortunately I don't have much more information at this time. I confirmed with our specialists that an update is being sent out but since we can't speculate on the release date I don't have an estimated date of arrival for the update.
appriciate your response but because it took over 2 months and there is still no confirmed fix i have returned my Note9 and switched for the Pixel 3 xl. Now I no longer miss moments of my son and no red eyes.
To clarify, are you saying that updates, in general, are being sent out? Or are you saying that Samsung is aware of the problem and is working on an update to come out to solve the camera glitch we're having but you can't speculate on the date?
Updates to fix this are on their way, I just don't know when.
Our specialists have given us the directive that an update is coming out to fix this issue specifically. However, due to us being unable to speculate on the release of future updates, I don't have an exact date for when to expect this.

@SamsungCole received update yesterday, butit did NOT say anything about fixing the camera freeze issues! It said update has to do with slo mo video recording!..Seriously! Fix the basic camera freeze issue first
