My camera freezes for 3-5 seconds everytime I open it or switch to it. Very frustrating. I have missed out on a lot of potential good shots because it takes so long before I can take a picture.

Just to add to the record, I got the same random camera freeze also. Sometimes a few seconds and usually happens multiple times continuously. Sometimes, it will said camera failed and then the camera app will restart and then it's ok. I found that under the "pro" mode, switching the metering mode seems to trigger it and switch back to "auto" mode would fix it
One time, even third party app using the camera shows the same freeze issue and has to kill the app to recover.
Mine is a US unlocked version.
