This issue is present on most Note 9 users I believe. I have the same issue as well. Thing is, Samsung still refused to acknowledge the problem and the best thing they can do is tell you to start your phone on safe mode. If that doesn't work, they'll tell you to send it to a service center.
I was looking at cpo (certified pre-owned) note 9s on samsung's website and found proof that they are aware that the latest note 9 update is the reason why the phone's screen is messed up. The cpo note 9s Samsung is selling at a profit are more than likely the same ones that people traded in because Samsung is providing no solution to the "green screen" issue after the latest update. Despite all the moderator comments that the problem is likely a hardware issue, samsung is reselling these note 9s with oreo installed instead of the most recent update. It seems to me that Samsung is trying to resell these phones in working condition with Oreo and when people get the Android 10 update, or whichever caused the problem, Samsung will claim its a hardware issue and tell the distraught buyer (after a seemingly infinite time on the phone being transfered repeatedly as I was) to take it to a service center. I truly wanted to believe that Samsung is a reputable company that cares about providing quality products and is not just out to make a buck but I've given up. I've wasted too much time being jerked around on the phone and seething in frustration at the lack of effective "customer service" after spending a significant amount of money. Adios Samsung
This situation may have a strong case if people SUE the company .
I understand that many of the note 9 users would be out of warranty , but that does not give samsung the authority to screw up our phones.
Now my phone screen permanently shows the discoloration after installing may 2020 month update.
Apple iphone users won a case against the company for an unethical thing that they have done. Hope we find a good attorney who can help taking this case forward and help us win this fight against Samsung .
I'm still having the same issue even after the current update (June 2020). I found that every time when I view a photo or video or went into Gallery. The yellowish screen happened and the screen turned blurry and phone getting hot.
This was happening since March update until today! Samsung! Do something,! You are going to lost a lot of customers!
And shame on you for not solving the problem after such a long period! Going to switch to Huawei, they have better response and services!
I got the exact same issue after upgrading to new software version in May. I have tried everything I can. Factory reset and brought the phone to ibreak ufix, Samsung authorized service center. The rep was honest by telling me this is a software issue. Replacing the screen is not going to fix it. He shows me the workaround. To enablook always on screen. Double tap the screen when its locked and open it with fingerprint. Its a temp fix. I have been using note series from note 2 to note 9. I upgrade my note and my wife's note every year. But this is it. We are switching to iphones now since I have had enough with samsung service. If they dont care about fixing the issue on their phone. Im bringing my money elsewhere. Bye Samsung!
Either this is a software or hardware issue it happened after March update for many users, so Samsung should be accountable and admit about this issue. Also I have tried OLED saver app which solve the issue temporarily.
Samsung management please give us a satisfying reply. Your last June update didn't solve it at all.

All of a sudden a green tint apperaed on both of the Note 9s on my account. I read an earlier post that somebody advised the owner it could be a screen issue. But I find it hard to believe everyone is having these issues and it is random. I think it must be a software issue. Today is 3 July 2020 and it JUST started with our phones today. Has Samsung addressed this issue at all?
From past few days my Note 9 screen turns green abruptly. I tried performing the steps provided in the below link but the issue is still observed.
Any help resoving the issue is appreciated.
