Black semi circle on edge of screen with line across

So tried in safe mode and looked for software to fix but it's not a software issue and screen is not broken. I tried to peel the plastic where I see the black circle/semi circle on the edge and there's a line that goes across the screen. It doesn't show up in screenshots and not fixable via software. I saw others have posted about it and the phone functions just fine. Wanted to know if samsung is covering this fix or it's on our own?Line across with circle on edge

I'm sorry to tell you that your AMOLED display is broken. This can happen without even cracking the glass. Unfortunately you will have to either live with it or replace the screen, which is pretty expensive. Bummer, sorry. :(

really does suck, I've seen others posted about it and it just happens? but the screen is not cracked or broken and it functions fine so it's maybe a connector that goes loose underneath?
