Hey there,

i hope someone from the Samsung DeX tech department could read into this and perhaps help/forward my problem.

I have got a so called "Combo" Thunderbolt 3 Dock on my home setup, which means a Thunderbolt 3 Dock of newer generation with the ability to not only "understand" the TB3 protocol, but also normal "USB-C"-protocol with "DP alt mode"

Such docks have got a newer controller called "Titan Ridge" with the chip JHL7440, made for multi-compatible docks.

I have the HP G2 Thunderbolt 3 dock.

As a result my dock is really "universal" as I not only can connect PC/Laptops with thunderbolt 3 to it, but also devices with a USB-C port which do not use Thunderbolt 3, like many/most AMD devices and other devices with USB-C and DisplayPort alternative mode.

Well, ...why do i write this down here:
From a technical view that dock should be able to connect to my Note 10+ (EU/Exynos) without any problem, ...but it doesn't.

The Note 10 recognizes the addional USB-ports and even the ethernet/LAN port, but not the display-out ports on the dock.

I know there was a similar problem with such a dock from Dell (the Dell WD19TB) and a Samsung Note 9 connected to it, ...but Samsung managed to get it working with one of the last updates on the Note 9.
This dock shares the same "Titan Ridge" TB3 controller with my dock, ...yet mine doesn't work with Dex/my Note 10+.

Could anyone from Samsung make it possible that the Note 10+ (and other USB-C display out Samsung handsets) works also with my docking station?

Thank you, ...I hope a Samsung technican could look into this.

Regards, Frank
