When using messages I do not get a notification from the person i just messaged if the message is still open. All notification settings are turned on and do not disturb is not on. And the no notification of a message only happens when the message I'm working with is open.

I have notifications set for each contact in the app. I get a notification from the person I'm messaging if their message isn't open but if the message is open I don't.
