I have a note 10+ that is in endless Gmail Sync. I have checked the following:
1. not on battery conserve
2. cleared cache
3. Force stopped
I really don't want to clear data or uninstall app unless neccessary, as other have tried and did not resolve issue. Saw something about uninstalling Chrome. Anyone know anything about this or how the 2 are linked?
I am having the same problem. It started overnight. I tried force stop, deleted cache and data, and restarted the phone. WHen I open Gmail I don't get an error message, just a never ending screen that says "getting your messages."
Do you experience these symptoms if you test your device in safe mode?
If your phone is misbehaving, it's possible that a third-party app is causing the issue. To figure out what app is acting funny, you can use the Safe Mode feature. In Safe Mode, your phone won't run any third-party apps. This allows you to easily identity and remove the app that may be causing the problem.
