Hi there,

Did anyone get a physical keyboard issue when using Dex on MacOS X?

I've connected my Note10+ to Macbook air, the trackpad works perfectly but the MacBook keyboard does not work. I've noticed that when trying to type something, the on-screen keyboard has popped up on the Note10+.

Is there anyone who know how to deal or fix it?

Best regards,

Tung

This worked for me. I had to also then restart DEX for the remedy to work.

Thank you!

Hi Hibernate,

Thanks for this!

This worked for me on my MacBook Pro for my Samsung Note 9.

Much appreciated..

If the right is already granted, remove the right and grant it again and restart Dex. It worked for me. Thanks

I found this issue being related with having Google Keyboard (GBoard) as default keyboard on my Note10+

To fix it:

1. On your device, set Samsung keyboard as default on-screen keyboard

2. On your computer, restart DeX

3. Test that the keyboard works in DeX (it should)

4. On your device, select GBoard again as the default

I tried everything (default samsung keyboard on phone, restart, accessibility checkbox for AEserver) suggested in the previous replies, however, I could not get the keyboard to work. My mouse continues to work. This is for Note 9+ and MacOS Catalina 10.15.7. Any help???
