Notification volume staying muted after turning silent mode off

I've been having this issue with my Note 10 Plus from the beginning and I'm trying to figure out if it's a bug or what's causing it. I use the silent/vibrate button in the drop down quite often. I've noticed at times when having it silent for sometime over 24 hours and then hitting the button again until all volume is back on, the notification volume doesn't return to where I had it so I stop getting text notifications and other things. So when I hit volume button and drag it down I see notifications are still muted. I'm not sure why everything else returns but notifications don't. It get aggravating as I don't see that I have missed notifications. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Re: Notification volume staying muted after turning silent mode off

Have you tried putting your device in Safe Mode? Safe mode allows you to turn on the device with third-party apps disabled. Then you can easily uninstall apps that may be causing a conflict or software problem.

1. Turn the device off.
2. Press and hold the Power key.
3. When 'Samsung' appears on the screen, release the Power key.
4. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
5. Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
6. 'Safe mode' displays in the bottom left corner of the screen.
7. Release the Volume down key when you see 'Safe Mode.'
8. Uninstall apps that are causing a problem.

I rarely mute my phone, so I haven't really tested what you are experiencing, but when you tap and hold sound icon in quick panel, it takes you to the setting.  There is an option "temporary mute" where you can set how long to keep mute on. See if that automatic feature is working properly compared to when you do it manually

I'm also having this issue on the Galaxy S10.  After unmuting my phone, sometimes the notifications volume stays muted.

Re: Notification volume staying muted after turning silent mode off

I have the sameeee problem. And as for safe mode, it will be hard to pin point the issue because the issue only happen after my whole night when i charge the phone with mute/vibration mode on, then in the morning it happens. If i do safe mode and uninstall the app....meaning i can only test out 1 app per night. And i have over 100 apps..

I also have this problem and have had it for some time now. I often forget the issue and will go a period of time frustrated before I realize the Notification volume must be turned down yet again. It's a undocumented user feature...aka...a bug...has to be and a very frustrating one!
