As long as you are using the Unlocked firmware, you are good. The carrier-locked versions have signed firmware that identifies the device as a carrier-locked device.

If you have bought your phone unlocked then yes.  All we need is beta to start in the US(no confirmed date yet)

You don't. Just keep an eye on the Samsung Members app, the Beta registrations will be posted in there.

Simcard does not matter. If your phone is unlocked (97XU1) you'll be fine.
