Photos marked as "favorite" aren't appearing in "favorites" folder

When I "heart" photos in my gallery, they no longer appear in the "favorites" folder. Any suggestions?.

Try opening the gallery app and swipe down. At the top of the page Tap the favorites link and it will open a page with all your favorites.

Hi CLF, that is how I always access my "favorites" folder. They still aren't being saved anymore.

Do you experience these symptoms if you test your device in safe mode? Have you tried wiping the cache partition on your device?

If you have tried the troubleshooting steps provided by @SamsungAdam  and still have the issue try opening settings /apps/gallery and clear the cache and data for the gallery app.
