S Pen scrolling in Samsung Notes (SNote)

Is there a way to scroll using the S Pen in Samsung notes? When writing notes and/or drawing I have the problem where I have to put the S Pen down, and then use my fingers to scroll. Once I do this, I the scroll bar will appear on the right hand side, and I could use the pen to scroll. Hover scrolling apparently does not work in Samsung notes, and I've only ever been able to use my fingers to scroll.

Am I missing something here?

While editing, click the keyboard icon at the bottom left. Then you can use your S Pen to scroll. After scrolling is complete, click the squiggle icon to go back to S Pen editing mode.

This works, however it's weird that hover scrolling doesn't work in edit mode.
