text attachments not going through

Please help. I have a note 10plus  Why aren't my attachments going through on texts, they just spin. Did a recent update do something,  did I change a setting i shouldn't have. I am not tech savvy at all , but this is frustrating

Are you trying to attach large files to your text messages?

Are you using Wi-Fi or data when you are experiencing these symptoms?

Are you receiving any error messages or just the continuous spinning?

I am using the one that says messaging,, not messenger i believe default app. no large files. and it just spins.

I would recommend trying to send the attachments via data to see if you still experience these symptoms?

does that mean turning off wifi to send texts? odd this started all the sudden. could this be related to a update? anything I should look for in my settings?

When did you last update your device?

Have you tried wiping the cache partition on your device? The system cache partition stores temporary system data. It's supposed to allow the system to access apps more quickly and efficiently, but sometimes things get cluttered and outdated, so a periodic cache clearing can help make the system run more smoothly. Give these steps a try:
 

1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby / Power key.
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Bixby / Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Bixby / Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Bixby / Power key to restart the device.
