Galaxy Note 20 sending Duplicate Messages?

My Samsung galaxy note 20 is sending multiple of the same message I am texting in. Its happening almost every text I send. I contacted support and reset connection settings, cleared my messages cache, and restarted my phone. It still is doing it and im really frustrated because it's annoying the people I am texting since they keep getting 2 or 3 of the same text. 

 
 Update: I turned off advanced messaging and I think it fixed it but I dont want to keep it off. Please keep me updated in the comment section about this! I'll keep updating this regularly!

I also started having this issue as well. It started about 3 days ago. I noticed that when my friends have been in poor reception areas in the past, they too would send me double texts on accident. I assumed it was because of a poor signal area that I'm experiencing the same now. I've lived in the same place for 11 years though and even when I am in a area with poor reception, my phone has never sent double texts. I'm not sure if this is a phone issue or AT&T issue. When I first recieved this phone a few days before it was released, I had massive amount of issues with it including signal issues. Both Samsung and AT&T pointed fingers at each other. After 3 or 4 months of dealing with it, it resolved on its own without a new update. With that being said, I almost feel like it is a service provider issue more so than the phone itself. Maybe AT&T is working on their towers in our areas?

Hopefully it will resolve on its own like all my previous issues have. I will be following this thread though to see if anyone does find a fix! Good luck!

Im having the exact same issue. I'm also in the AT&T network too. Note 20 Ultra.

Exact same problem with my S8 Active for the last week or two.  Did everything but a factory reset and nothing fixed.  Then on a whim, I tried turning off advanced messaging and boom... problem solved.  Stupid AT&T.

Samsung s20+ with AT&T as well, I've tried doing every single troubleshooting step (force quit messaging app, clear cache partition, clear cache and data of messaging app, reset network settings, turn off advanced messaging) and nothing has done the trick. Every time I send a message to anyone, either they get two of the same message and it shows as one being sent for me, or it shows as the same message getting sent twice on my end as well as on theirs. It's honestly a bit annoying and not sure what else to try at this point - the issue is definitely relatively new since one of the last updates. Hopefully, someone is able to figure out the fix/it somehow miraculously fixes itself!!!
