Hulu and HBO Max - Full screen issues

Ever since the latest update on my Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra, I'm not able to see the app Hulu and HBO Max in full screen mode. I even attempted to force full screen mode in "Full screen apps" but that didn't do anything. The playback is playing in a tiny screen with large boarders an all 4 sides of the screen. The pintch/expand to zoom option does not do anything and the button to zoom on the screen only puts the phone in landscape or portrait (but continues to have a tiny screen in landscape - with large boarders). Anyone else experiencing these issues?

I would recommend reaching out to the developers of the apps to verify they were updated to be compatible with the Android 11 update.

Yes, you're not alone. I have the same phone and I too am experiencing the same problem with those 2 apps. It's frustrating not being able to utilize the fullness of the screen...I mean that's one of the main purposes in having a phone of its size right? I've noticed that iPhone 11 users don't have this problem and their screen is roughly the same size. I've searched for solutions but haven't found any that have addressed this issue. However, I was somewhat relieved to find this post that confirmed that it's not just me. Thanks

Oh thank goodness! I was worried that I was an isolated issue and was going to have to get a new phone to correct it. Hopefully Samsung corrects it asap with an update soon. My old device's don't have this issue (S10 and Note 8). It really is a shame having such a large screen and only using 3/4 of it in those apps.

I am having the same issue. I also tried toggling the full screen setting on then restarting my phone and it still didn’t work. Hopefully they will provide an update that fixes it soon.

I would recommend that you make sure the app is up to date and then I would clear the cache for the app.

Are you only experiencing these symptoms with those two apps?

Thank you for that information. Can I please have your full model number, baseband version, Android Version, and service provider?
