Note20For those having bug issues after updating to One UI 5.0 (Android 13), if you haven't already done so, please try to clear the phone cache and run the repair apps option thru recovery mode.
To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.
**I personally do this 3 times**
- Run the repair apps option and your device will restart.
This usually fixes bugs after updates. NOT GUARANTEED, but worth trying!
LMK if this has helped you!

You can also try going to the phone keypad and typing in *#9900# and then press "delete dumpstate/logcat" that generally speeds things up and gets rid of instability.

Zero need to clear the cache partition three times (it's like a light switch, turning it off three times isn't going to make it any more "off") , but otherwise, good post.

That's why I said personally. I've done this since day 1 and I've never experienced the update issues a lot of others have. If it works, don't fix it.

Did you stick your thumbs in your ears and wiggle your fingers too? 😁😉
Yes, I clear the cache partition myself DEFINITELY after every OS update, and normally after the monthly security updates as well.
I suspect the system does it after OS updates, but I haven't found that documented anywhere, so I do it myself.
