Only on lock screen and only YouTube casting. YouTube casting media control work fine when phone is unlocked. Other apps media control work fine from lock screen (at least the ones I've tested)

I'm in note 20 ultra Verizon. My dad's on S10+ TMobile. Both phones have the issue.

Verizon/20-Ultra User

I'm not sure if I'm totally understanding....I've never attempted to cast while screen is locked....

However, I cast YouTube from my my 20-Ultra to my samsung TV all the time. About 97% of the time the phone won't acknowledge the TVs availability on the first attempt. Once I reboot the phone and the TV it'll work.

I also discovered that Youtube's own TV cast button isn't available if my wifi is off. But that's a YouTube thing.

Just to clarify are you attempting to use the phone's cast feature or YouTube's cast feature?
