What steps are needed to make Note 20 Utra connect to 5.0 GHZ?

My Note 20 Ultra only conects to 2.4 GHZ and is slow.

Reset your network settings. Add the wifi back and in advanced settings for that connection under MAC Address Type select use Phone Mac instead of Randomized MAC and see if it fixes it.

Note 20 Ultra keeps connecting to 2.4 GHZ wifi when I prefer it to connect to 5.0 GHZ. Any advice, please?

Could make a different password for the 5gz network and forget the 2.4ghz network so it no longer connects to it.

what does it say when you try to connect to 5g? My router has 2.4 and 5. I can switch between the two on Note 10+. Try to connect to the 5g by selecting it under your WiFi settings on phone. Lastly change the name on the 5g if its the same name as 2.4.

@userdbY6EkhtAK IF you have a router that is hybrid or it will automatically to 5g or 2.4 it is possible that your phone is far away from the router and it will switch to 2.4ghz. if you have a router that has a dedicated 5Ghz it should connect.

5.0ghz range is not as good as the 2.4ghz frequency so it will drop off at a fairly short range unless you are using a range extender or a repeater on your home network.
