My phone (note 20 ultra) was plugged in and I smell spontaneous burning. Turns out charging port started up. Called at&t, they tell me to call Asurion,  Asurion tells me it's under warranty and transfers me back to at&t. While on the phone I am told my phone won't be covered because there is physical damage of the charging pins. If the port started burning, how is there not going to be other damage? These companies just want to take your money. It's not about selling a good product and taking care of your customers, it's about making life impossible for them to be helped. Expect to hear from a lawyer

If it is caused by mechanical issues then that's when the warranty comes in they just don't want to deal with it

Good afternoon, I certainly understand how concerning something like this would be. Repairs would certainly be recommended in order to have the phone evaluated. In order to discuss the full processes and what to expect, give us a call directly at 1-800-726-7864 with your model code and IMEI number handy.
