Not able to remove notification icon

I have a notification icon that resembles the Simplisafe Stylized S except it has simplified horns and eyes on it like a **bleep**. It's been appearing for weeks off and on as a notification but there is none. I'm worried that my phone has been hacked. I've reset my phone to factory settings 3 or 4 times now and deleted the Simplisafe app and the little **bleep** reappears after a while. Does anyone know what this is or means? I'm at my wits end and considering iPhone.

If you click on it, it shows that you just restarted your ANDROID phone (it is the head of the android robot BTW)

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I can stop worrying. Is this a feature on Note 20 and beyond? I also have a Note 9 and the icon doesn't appear on it after restarting.

As mentioned above, if you press on it it simply says "Phone restarted, unlock your phone to get notifications " or something close to that.

Edit: I believe with Pixel you get a white "P" icon instead, but they both mean that you won't receive any notifications until the phone is unlocked. I *think* it is supposed to be a stylized robot head in a padlock showing that the phone is :locked:'ed?

Thanks! All of your responses have helped me tremendously. I was really worried until now. Coincidentally, in this case the android robot head closely resembles the Simplisafe icon which concerned me.

Yeah it does. Wow, surprised that there hasn't been some sort of copyright issue with one company or the other 🙂

It just started with Android 12, with One UI 4.0, my buddies Google Pixel on android 12 does not show this same icon.

Does your buddies Pixel get a white P though? I thought Pixel had a similar thing

I don't remember what it is exactly, other than it is not the Android S (for lack of a better description)
